Testimonials - Hear what lot owners have to say!

"My husband and I bought our Tyee lot in 1990 after just spending one afternoon visiting a friend who owned a lot. It was love at first sight for us. We loved everything about Tyee. It was close to Seattle and to Vancouver BC. It is 30 minutes to wonderful hiking trails of many degrees of difficulty through the Cascades. We found and bought a lot close to the private lake, clubhouse, swimming pools and jacuzzis. We fell in love with our lot because of its location near to all activities, yet it was a secluded, quiet, wooded lot. We love the trees. Our neighbours are such good people, so the environment to us is just perfect!

We have spent every summer at Tyee for the past 12 years. Entertaining is fun for all and we do have many get-togethers with friends and family. The grandchildren love to come and spend a few weeks with us. They always find other good friends to play with and the freedom and safety they experience is unique at Tyee. Our park model is comfortable and the onsite managers have always taken care of our basic needs.

We are happy when we are alone at Tyee, or when we have large groups of friends, or when the grandchildren come visit for a day or a week. We have never experienced crowds or noise at Tyee and for all these reasons we think Tyee is a unique recreational development. I know of no other place like it!!

My husband and I and the two children (ages 7 & 8), just bought our lot this spring, but already we can't imagine not being part of this wonderful community. We looked all over the Puget Sound area for a 'get-away' place but didn't find anything like Lake Tyee. Fishing, biking, swimming, putt-putt golfing, hiking and more are all right here, plus all the opportunities provided by being so close to Mt. Baker, North Cascades Highway and Canada. We can't wait for the winter since we hear it is as much fun as the summer season.

Being so close to Seattle, friends and relatives can come to Lake Tyee for the day or several. Yet the security of the gated grounds and the isolation provided by the wilderness and huge trees combine for a wonderful haven in the hills. I feel completely safe coming up here with the kids.

Our lot came with a very usable trailer and a covered deck. We have already put in a shed and are undertaking other small projects on our lot to make it even more enjoyable. We plan to put in a park model trailer and other upgrades in a couple years. The sales office and onsite managers are very accessible and helpful in answering all our questions.

The kids are always making new friends while playing and the many social activities hosted by the association help all of us to meet our new neighbors. Our favorite event so far has been when both of the kids won a trophy at the Memorial Weekend fishing derby. Bird watching (eagles, osprey and herons enjoy fishing in the lake right outside our front door) and other more frequent yet unscheduled pastimes help us while away the hours in a truly stress free environment.

Five years ago we started looking at lots at Lake Tyee. We thought we wanted to have a lot that was all ready to go, trailer and all. We came up to look at different lots on two different occasions and managed to find what we thought were the perfect lots. For whatever reasons things didn't work out for us at that time, so back to the drawing board we went.

In April of 2002, we woke up one morning and decided to go for a drive. Where did we end up? ? Yes, we were once again at Lake Tyee. This was not a planned trip! We looked at one another and said, "okay, for some reason we keep being pulled to Lake Tyee, let's go in and look again." This time we decided to look at lots that were "natural", lots that needed to be cleared. We drove around with Ed from Lands West, once again looking for that perfect lot. WE FOUND IT, and knew we had to have it. This time everything worked out for us and now we are proud owners of a lot at Lake Tyee.

It has been a real joy coming up and seeing the changes that have taken place since we first purchased the lot. It's nice to step back and take a look at what WE have done. All it has taken is a little sweat, a little work, and some dedication. It has been worth every bit of it. We still have some work to do, but we're young enough to get it done and still be able to enjoy it.

We have had so much fun coming to the lot, putting up our tent and camping. We have camped almost every weekend since May. This is our place of peace and quiet. We plan on having a park model on the lot in a few years. We know that good things take time.

We truly enjoy coming up to Lake Tyee, not only for camping, but also for all of the other things that you can do here. We come up and go fishing, ride our bikes, swim, hike, play putt-putt golf and play pool. You can get connected to Mother Nature. What a wonderful place to come and relax and have fun. Where else can you go and have all of the fun stuff you want to do within your reach???
